Living in Victoria, on Vancouver Island, Jen is strongly influenced by the strength and beauty of Canada's West Coast where mountains meet the sea. Form, color, sacred geometry, earth and sky, ocean, and the moon are themes found in her mixed media, collage, water colour, and wearable art. Her images, subtly influenced by Asia and the Pacific, appear as symbol, memory, dream, and reflection.

Symbols are the language of the mind. It is through symbols that one can enter a work of art. It is through symbols I can enter my dreams and my unconscious.

Jen studied art and design at the Universities of Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and the Massachusetts Institue of Technology. She received a Masters Degree from the Royal College of Art in London, England.
