The prayer fellowship group meets alternate
Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. (except in July and August) to offer support
and prayers for anyone who requests it. We bring to God the concerns and
joys that are part of personal lives, or a matter of community and world
issues.
As Christians, we believe that God is in charge of our lives, and that He will give us what we need. Sometimes that need is for strength, courage, and patience. At other times the need may be for inner peace to accept our path. God hears us. While we have a regular group who offer prayers for anyone, individuals are invited to join us for coffee at 10 a.m. and stay for prayer. There should be no concern about how one prays; prayer can simply be remaining still with your thoughts directed to God. If you would like our prayers for your life or for others, you don't need to come to the group. We will offer prayers for you. Simply call the church office at 384-5821. You can be specific about the need, but no explanations are necessary. At the back of the church sanctuary a book has been placed so that anyone can write down the name of persons or concerns for which prayers are sought. We meet regularly, but we also have a prayer chain that prays through telephone calls to each other. God loves us. He will hear our prayers and be with us through whatever is happening in our lives and our world. |
