| If you already have the full Taxman program installed on your computer (it doesn't matter which year, just so long as C:\Program Files\Common Files\Taxman is full of stuff), then you only need:

After downloading, just double-click 05setup2.exe to install.
Otherwise you must get the full program:

- Schedule 2 magically fills itself!
If the spouse's return is done, a new button will read from that return and complete the federal Schedule 2. And then on exit, you can again feed off of the spouse's return and update the provincial Schedule 2. Nothing could be easier than that. (Need a strategy for spouses?)

- T1-KS is dead!
An error-prone holdover from another era has been deemed an unnecessary duplication and has been retired. The T1-KS keying summary is no longer required for computer-generated returns, so all the rules you memorized about its care and maintenance can be forgotten. Simpler for you and you get to save 3 sheets of paper to boot. (After I finally get the last bug worked out of T1-KS, a 10 year struggle, the very next year they get rid of it! You want to talk about a cruel world?)
Taxman 2005 Bugs and Problems:
(If you have Version 1.2, clicking Help on Persons will tell you the version number. If the menu doesn't say "This is Version 1.2" then check the Readup05.txt stored in your Taxman2005 folder. Updating the program doesn't affect your data.)
Sadly Version 1.0 had a short life: Line 222 had a bug. Luckily Version 1.1 has the answer.
Through Version 1.1's life its control-tips were updated to 2005 rates, and F12 and the Business Data button were fixed. But the new button on Schedule 2 should not show up on the printed page!
Version 1.2 fixes all above problems plus a few more. If you use Schedule 2 or live in Manitoba, you should upgrade to Version 1.2.
Still to be fixed:
T1-KS is dead but it's still on the menu!
