Axis & Allies $20
Popular Milton Bradley game recreating World War II for 2-5 players.
Each player controls one of the major countries in the war (Russia, UK,
Germany, Japan or the US) and directs all their actions including national
production. Axis & Allies is perfect for someone looking for a game
similar to Risk but with more complexity and detail.
Complete and in excellent condition. |
 |
Blokus $20
Blokus is an excellent tile-laying game for 2-4 players. The object is
to place all your Tetris-like tiles on the board while preventing your
opponents from doing the same. However, you can only place a tile if it
touches one of your already placed tiles at a corner (i.e. your tiles may
not touch along an edge). This means that you may be blocked as much by
your own tiles as your opponents!
I have written a more complete review here.
Complete and in excellent condition. The box is in very good condition
but has wear on the corners. |
|
Boat Wars $10

 |
Carcassonne $18
Carcassonne is an excellent tile laying game for 2-5 players. Each tile shows some variety of a field, city, road or abbey. On your turn you add a tile to those already on the board. You then have the option of adding one of your followers to that tile and where you place him determines whether he is a farmer, knight, thief or monk. Once each feature is completed, points are scored by the player(s) with the most followers.
Complete and in good condition. |
 |
Carcassonne: New World $20
New World starts with the basic Carcassonne rules but adds an
ever-westward expansion as players must keep their pieces ahead of the
always moving surveyors -- fall behind and you'll score no points!
Complete and in excellent condition. |
 |
Carcassonne: The Discovery $15
Carcassonne: The Discovery is a variant on the original played at a
larger scale: tiles show seas, grasslands and mountains (with completed
cities already built upon them). Grasslands score for the number of tiles,
mountains score for the number of adjacent cities and seas score for both.
Complete and in excellent condition. |
 |
Coda $10
This is a very good deduction game for 2-4 players. While there
is a fair amount of luck, it is a much better game than I first thought.
The more I played, the more I discovered hidden depths and subtleties. You
can read my full review here.

 |
Diplomacy $20

still sealed in their original shrinkwrap. The box is in good condition
but does have a number of small defects.
|
 |
Enchanted Forest $10
Fun little memory game from Ravensburger. Players move around the forest looking at the symbol printed beneath each of the thirteen plastic trees (very cool!). At any point they may travel to the castle and look at the top-most card
-- if that player can reveal the tree with the matching symbol, they collect that card. The first player to collect three cards wins the game.
Complete and in good
condition although the rules are photocopies. The box top has one repaired
corner. |
 |
Flying Carpet $10

their flying carpet from start to finish but must avoid the buildings and
clouds laid out at the beginning. The higher in altitude you get, the
faster you go.
The rules are not original, otherwise it is complete and in excellent
condition. |

This is the traditional game that (in a round-a-bout way) was the inspiration for Liar's Dice.
Complete and in excellent condition. |
 |
Pig Trotters $10
This is a great little game that has been published in various forms
under names such as Galloping Pigs, All the Way Home or this version, Pig
Trotters. Play is very simple: You're dealt a hand of cards, each
depicting one of the five piglets in the race. On your turn you play one
card and move that piglet to the next unoccupied space (hopping over any
piglets directly in front of him). If this moves that piglet into first
place, you collect a victory point. If that's all there was to the game,
it would be practically worthless, but there's a clever twist -- you only
get to keep victory points earned in a round if the last card you play in
that round moves a piglet to the front of the line. Play one round for
each player in the game. It's still very luck dependant but planning for
the future is required. A fun little filler that works great with both
young kids and adults.
This version has a mounted board and chits for the victory points.
Complete and in excellent condition. |
 |
Pit $10
"Two! Two! TWO!!"
An incredible, fast paced trading game that accurately simulates the (seemingly) chaotic stock exchange trading floors. With the right crowd this can be an unforgettable experience. Pit is
the only game that nearly caused me to pass out. Be warned -- Pit is both
loud and boisterous.
This version features the bell (a must in my opinion) and is complete
and in excellent condition. |
 |
Police Academy: Ausbruch In Manhattan $5
Don't know much about this game other than what's on the box: 2-6 players, age 6+, 30-60 minutes. Its by ASS and obviously based on the movies.
Complete and in very good condition. (English rules NOT included.) |
 |
Raid on Iran $10
Steve Jackson Games - Pocket Box edition. Clip-less enclosure. Uncut
counters. |
 |
Ramses II $10
Ramses II has a board that is a 6x8 grid with 47 plastic pyramids on it. Beneath each pyramid is token, 12 of which show a treasure of some sort. Each turn a player will attempt to reveal a specific treasure by sliding the pyramids from space to space. Reveal the wrong treasure and your turn is over.
Complete and in good condition. |
 |
RoboRally $40
Roborally is an excellent robot racing game for 2-8 players (generally speaking, the more the better).
Each turn, you're dealt nine cards such as "turn left", "move 1 space forward", "backup", etc. You take five of these cards and program your robot's movement for that turn. All player's cards are then simultaneously revealed, one card at a time and the robots are moved accordingly. The difficulty starts with the fact that you are racing in a demented factory that features conveyor belts, rotating gears, crushers and lasers. Further complicating matters are the opposing robots who will push yours in unexpected directions and shoot them if they get the chance. As your robot is damaged, you receive fewer and fewer cards making your task all the harder. Great fun!
This is the second edition published in 1995 by Wizards of the Coast and
includes unpainted metal robots. The components are like-new and the game has never been played.
The box has minor wear on the corners. The game is complete except for the
original rulebook which is not included. (A scanned copy is included.) |
 |
Rummy 21 $5
Interesting Rummy variant using cards and tiles.
Complete and in
excellent condition.
|
 |
Scotland Yard $20
Despite the fact that the box says it's for 3-6 players, I find Scotland Yard best as a 2-player game. One player controls all the detectives and the difficulty can be adjusted by using 3, 4 or 5 detectives. This Ravensburger version is superior to the Milton Bradley edition since the pawns do not obscure the spaces they are on and the board does not feature a "valley" fold. The only thing I like about the MB version is that it included 5 cardboard detective badges to indicate which detective is which. Since these are especially useful when playing the game 2-player, I will throw in a set of these badges.
The cardboard visor has a minor fold otherwise complete and in excellent condition.

 |
Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective

"Choose Your Adventure" games but is much more open ended and
quite difficult. Suitable for both solitaire and group play.
Components are complete and in good condition. The box is in fair
condition.
|
 |
Sleuth $10
Sleuth is a very clever deduction game. You're trying to determine the
single card missing from the deck and do so by asking the other players
questions. While similar to other deduction games, Sleuth is quite
difficult and very challenging.
A more detailed review can be read here, along with a sample puzzle:
http://www.thegamesjournal.com/reviews/Sleuth.shtml
The box has a few minor dents. The original notepads are gone but have
been replaced with very accurate recreations. Otherwise, the game is
complete and in good condition.

Treasure Quest $5
Simple Ravensburger game for two that takes about 5 minutes to play.

wear on the corners.

|
Wheedle $5
This has been described as master game designer Reiner Knizia's take on
Pit and that's a very accurate description. The biggest change is that
trades are no longer an unknown quantity -- you openly declare which
stocks you are trading. Furthermore you need only get a majority of a
stock (rather than 100% ownership) in order to score. However, you do need
to ensure that every card in your hand scores if you want to end the
round. Finally, there's always a single, face-up card in the middle of the
table that you can exchange for one of yours. (Very handy when no one
wants to trade with you!)
Complete and in excellent condition.
