HYDSYS for Drainage

HYDSYS will help you analyze, design and manage your storm drainage system. It is a comprehensive graphic information system (GIS) for your drainage infrastructure.

This software will simulate drainage from extreme rainstorms before and after land development and will help you to identify and correct deficiencies of developing urban areas. With selected hydrologic methods, you may determine design rainstorms, calibrate models, size pipes, simulate detention and produce hyetographs, hydrographs, plans and profiles. Model urban and rural drainage networks with zoning designations for paved, grassed and undeveloped contributing areas. As a maintenance management tool, your pipe and manhole inspections may be recorded and color-coded to help you to prioritize the work of your infrastructure upgrading projects.


Key Plans & Profiles

On key plans and profiles, powerful keyed manholes have features which allow you to view or label data, or to locate manholes and pipes on a spreadsheet, hydrograph or an AutoCAD drawing. They let you navigate in a simple way with little effort.

Spreadsheets

HYDSYS provides you with an easy way of selecting, entering, changing, and reviewing data. Spreadsheet style data management offers descriptive prompts and help screens as you move from cell to cell.

AutoCAD

HYDSYS stands alone, but if you have AutoCAD the two will work together. Specify your own base plan for capturing manhole and pipe locations. Our toolbar makes it easy to locate or edit sewerage system components within HYDSYS and AutoCAD. HYDSYS produces detailed drawings of your model to your specifications using the same color-coding as the key plans and profiles.

    Drainage Model

    • rural drainage simulation using U.S. Soil Conservation Service (SCS) curve number method
