Debbie Simms - Poetry

I cry out to You, my Father,

Carry me through this storm,

Hide me in Your hiding place,

Keep me safe and warm,

Tuck me under your feathered wing,

Send Your Angels to guard me and sing,

Surround me with Your wall of fire,

Humbly I pray, take me higher,

Closer to You, closer to Zion,

You are my fortress, my mighty Lion,

Who holds, protects, and gives me more,

Draw me closer to Your shore.

7:30 p.m. June 10, 1996

Liar, liar pants on fire,

Papa God takes me higher,

Above the lies, traps and snares,

He shows me His love He truly cares,

He blesses me with His grace,

He gives me strength to run the race,

When the race is over and done,

The prize is the GLORY of HIS SON!

8:45 p.m. July 31, 1996

You are my comfort, You are my King,

My strong tower, my everything,

When I walk through the valley of pain,

You envelop me with Your Ruie and Reign,

The Rule of Your Kingdom, the Reign of Your Son,

The King of Israel the sanctified one,

The one who wears the eternal crown,

As the gates of hell come crashing down,

At the name of Jesus the enemy’s flee,

I come to You on bended knee,

With a broken spirit and contrite heart,

More freedom to me You long to impart,

Help me rest in Your quiver of love,

Rain on me from Your throne above,

More of my life You want to restore,

Teach me it’s okay to ask for more,

More of Your mercy, more of Your peace,

More restoration to me You release,

Pour over me from Your mountain of gold,

Thank You for bringing me in from the cold.

Jesus is coming, the feast is near,

Hear the trumpets ringing clear,

Prepare the Bride, ready the room,

Trim the candles and await the Groom,

God is excited about this one,

The WEDDING FEAST OF HIS SON,

The Son of Man and the Bride to be,

Arrayed in splendor and majesty,

On display for the world to see,

The most GLORIOUS WEDDING in history.

3:50 p.m. August 11, 1996

The Holy fire of God is white,

It came to me with a blinding light,

Fear and trembling were also here,

I knew His presence was truly near,

I had to shield my face from the sight,

Oh His Glory, His presence, His golden light,

It burned through me like a consuming fire,

Burning more of my earthly desire,

More freedom came for worship and dance,

And renewal of my holy romance,

I have with Him, my first love,

He floods me from His throne above,

With mercy, love, grace and peace,

There’s so much more He wants to release.

1:55 p.m. December 26, 1996

You ask ME for more,

You believe I AM the one,

I gave you it all,

When I gave you MY SON.

12:05 p.m. January 25, 1997

Prisoners in chains for the gospel of peace,

He gives to us so we can release,

His mercy and grace among one and all,

Open your heart and answer His call,

His call to all nations,

From the East to the West,

Come home to the Father,

Where you will find rest.

January 27, 1997

He came to set the captives free,

We’re out of Egypt, jump with glee,

Dance with joy, have some fun,

He set us free so we can run

The greatest race, free from sin,

In case you’re wondering,

YES, WE WIN!

5:40 p.m. January 30, 1997

We are covered by the blood of the Son,

The enemy’s scared, he’s on the run,

The Lion of Judah is his defeat,

He has no choice, he has to retreat,

We are Victor’s by the blood of the Lamb,

The King of Israel, the great I AM,

We’re His own, His children of light,

Just like David, we’ll stand and fight,

With the sword of the Spirit in our hand,

We’ll shout His name across the land,

The name of Jesus, His Kingdom is now,

Before Him every knee shall bow.

3:30 p.m. February 1, 1997

The Lord of hosts is the fire King,

Across the land let His praises ring,

Worship Him with heart’s ablaze,

the enemy flees at the sound of praise,

The praise of God takes him out,

Walls come down with a shout,

A shout to the Lord,

The Victory King,

To the ends of the earth,

His praises we sing,

The gates of Heaven,

Release celebration,

Dancing and singing,

With jubilation,

Make music to the Lord above,

The King of Glory,

The one we love.

February 15, 1997

SHEKINAH Glory is on the way,

God has heard our call,

He’s come to liberate the Bride,

To free us one and all,

He’s increasing His power,

So we can stand,

Upheld by His Righteous hand,

To help us march in Victory,

Bought and paid for at Calvary.

9:00 a.m. February 18, 1997

The Bridegroom cries out for His Bride,

Open your arms, fling them wide,

The Bride cries out for Her Groom,

Come my lover, I will make room,

It’s an age old story, it does not change,

Our lives we need to re-arrange,

For the Wedding Feast of the Lamb,

The King of Saints, The great I AM,

He keeps wooing us with His love,

Golden rain from His throne above,

The King of Glory, He is the one,

He’s preparing a Bride for His Son,

Happy, joyful, glorious and free,

Jesus is crying, run to Me.

10:00 a.m. February 18, 1997

The white horse is in the garden,

He’s running wild and free,

The Father’s promise to His Church,

You will ride with Me,

The warrior is awakened,

With fire in His eyes,

He lifts His sword into the air,

From His throne He cries,

My Bride, My Bride take My hand,

I’m leading you into the Promised Land,

Nothing can stop Me nothing can stand,

Against the power of My right hand,

I will lead you, I AM the one,

I loved you so much I gave you My Son,

He died on the cross to set you free,

So you could ride in Victory.

3:00 p.m. February 21, 1997

I have opened the floodgates,

Opened them wide,

Flooding the earth,

With a mighty tide,

Nothing can stop,

The flow of My river,

It’s shaking the earth,

Feel it quiver,

My river of mercy,

Joy and peace,

Reviving My Church,

With refreshing release,

I’m inviting you in,

To join the ride,

In the river that flows,

From Calvary s Tide.

Apostolic or apathetic,

The choice is ours to make,

The wise and choose the right one,

For there are lives at stake,

The lives that Jesus died to save,

The wounded and the lost,

He gave His life to set them free,

He paid the highest cost,

Lord, keep us in Your river,

Let our focus be on You,

Renew us and transform us,

So we can bring them home to You.

7: 40 a.m. May 6, 1997

Lord, keep me in Your presence,

Let me worship at Your feet,

Take all that’s not from You away,

It’s You I’m here to meet

To seek Your face and will for me,

Is more than I deserve,

Bathe me in Your truth and light,

My desire is to serve,

Serve You with a heart that’s pure,

Free from earthly desire,

Draw me closer to Your heart,

Take me through Your fire,

Comfort me and love me,

My Redeemer and my King,

It’s You I long to honour,

Of Your GLORY I will sing.

9:10 a.m. May 6, 1997

I lift my eyes up to the Cross,

I see Your tear stained face,

The crown of thorns upon Your head,

The blood that’s on Your face,

The bloody lashes on Your back,

The wound that’s on Your side,

I feel the pain in Your hands and feet,

It split the Heaven’s wide,

The pain You suffered for us all,

MY Lord, I love You so,

To You I bow in humble grace,

To You I bow down low.

4:20 p.m. May 11, 1997

Take the steps to freedom,

Climb the mountain slope,

On the mountain of the Lord,

Is where you will find hope,

Healing for your broken heart,

Your shattered dreams find peace,

Look into the Father’s eyes,

There’s sweetness and release,

A sweetness you have not yet known,

A love that’s pure and true,

His heart cries out, return to Me,

He gave His Son for you,

To comfort you and love you,

Is the desire of His heart,

Hear the promise of the LAMB,

We never more shall part.

6:05 p.m. May 20, 1997

In pain, torment and agony,

I cried to my Lord, set me free,

He heard my call and flew from Zion,

He soared like an eagle,

He roared like a lion,

With fire blazing from His eyes,

He destroyed my enemy and his lies,

He blew him away with one breath,

He lifted me from the gates of death,

He took me into His arms of love,

He showered me from above,

With mercy, truth, peace and grace,

He gave me strength to run the race,

I’ve come to the end of my story,

Oh, by the way the prize is GLORY!

12:20 p.m. May 26, 1997

The Wedding Feast is worth the war,

My heart cries out, give me more,

More revelation of who You are,

The King of Israel, the Morning Star,

The Prince of Peace, the Father of Light,

You have come to make things right,

With the presence of Your Kingdom,

And Your sovereign hand of love,

You are bonding us together,

With fire from above,

A house divided will not stand,

Join together across the land,

Walk in forgiveness and love for each other,

In mercy and grace as sister and brother,

The Body of Christ in Unity,

Hear the Father, this is His plea.

5:O5 p.m. June 7, 1997

Jesus dances when we get together,

Regardless of the wind and weather,

It blesses His heart,

When He sees His Bride,

Stand together, unified,

Giving honour and glory to His name,

Oh, Lord God make us the same

Burn into our hearts love for each other,

Bind us together as sister and brother,

The Bride of Jesus in unity,

Hear His weeping, hear His plea,

The cry of His heart is to see His Bride,

Worshipping Him side by side.

5:30 a.m. July 17, 1997

Let Me in, let Me in,

Don’t shut Me out,

He says to His church,

With a mighty shout,

You are MY Bride,

The jewel in MY crown,

The dividing walls are coming down,

I will not be parted from the one I love,

I AM raining on You

From MY throne above,

You have been chosen,

You are the one,

Prepare your hearts,

For the return of My Son.

7:00 a.m. November 7,1997

Every leaf on every tree,

Every ship on every sea,

The Lord God made them all with love,

He rains upon them from above,

Every bird in every nest,

Every person from east to west,

Every blade of grass that grows,

God made them all, the Father knows,

Knows the heart of every man,

What we can't do our Father can,

Can heal our hearts, can give us life,

He destroys our stree and strife,

With His river of life that flows from His throne,

We're the body of Christ, we're not alone,

He's increasing our desire for ea-.ch other,

To bond us together as sister and brother,

One in the Spirit, the army of God,

To Him be all Glory, honour and laud,

Praise YOu Father, for YOur Son,

At the cross is where we become one.

4:30 p.m. February 16,1998

Adam, Adam run home to Me,

My heart is aching to set you free,

To heal your wounds, to hold you close,

My precious child, I love you the most,

I want to hold you close to My chest,

To dry your tears, to soothe your breast,

The pain you have been through tears Me apart,

You are the one who can heal My heart,

My treasure, my treasure hear My plea,

Daddy is calling, come to Me,

It hurts My heart to see you cry,

To see the pain in which you lie,

I want to run and play with you,

To be a part of all you do,

To be your friend and walk by your side,

Get on My shoulders, I'll give you a ride,

I'll bounce you up and down on my knee,

Papa is waiting to set you free.

8:30 pm June 11,1998

There's healing in the river

There's joy in the river

There's life in the river

From the Temple of the Lord

The rivers gettin deeper

The rivers gettin wider

The rivers flowin faster

From the Temple of the Lord

Come to the Temple

Rejoice in the Temple

Dance in the Temple

The Temple of the Lord

Come closer to the Mountain

Come higher up the Mountain

See His face on the Mountain

The Mountain of the Lord

There's healing on the Mountain

There's joy on the Mountain

There's oil on the Mountain

The Mountain of the Lord

There's Glory on the Mountain

There's Glory on the Mountain

There's Glory on the Mountain

The Mountain of the Lord

Be healed by the Glory

Be healed by the Glory

Be healed by the Glory

From the Temple of the Lord

June 13,1998

Come to the pool of Siloam for healing,

The enemy will no more be stealing,

Your joy, peace, love and grace,

He'll give you strength

To run the race,

The race of freedom,

The race of life,

At the cross,

Lay down your strife,

Pick up the yoke

That is easy and light,

Be filled with Yeshua's

Power and might.

9 a.m. July 7,1998

My precious Lord Jesus,

Help me through this day,

Keep me from stumbling,

From going astray,

I'm a daughter of Zion,

A child of the King,

Till my Saviour returns

His praises I'll sing,

Hold me fast in Your arms of love,

Breath of Heaven,

Breathe from above,

Your calm wind of comfort,

Secure in me Your peace1

From the throne of the Father,

On me release,

Strength and wisdom

To carry me through,

Keep my eyes on the cross,

Let my focus be You

11 a.m. July 27,1998

He gives us fresh manna

He pours out new wine,

In the banquet hall

He invites us to dine,

To the river He calls us,

To jump in and swim,

It is sent to refresh

And draw us closer to Him,

Who sent us Yeshua,

Son of Most High,

He wants us to soar

Like an eagle and fly,

To the top of the mountain,

To the top of the slope,

From Zion's hill

The Father sends hope.

11:30 a.m. July 27,1998

Wax it up, get your board,

We're goin surfin for the Lord,

Get used to the river,

Get used to the wave,

It's the water to heal,

It's the power to save,

To save the wounded and the lost,

On Calvary's tree He paid the cost,

We are His hands, we are His feet,

Answer His call, run to the street.

1:50 p.m. August 5,1998

CAMP POEM

I went to camp and was amazed,

At my Father's awesome power and ways,

I was afraid, had some healin' to do,

Papa was there to walk me through,

He took my hand and led me along,

Gave new memories and a brand new song,

A song of victory, a dance of hope,

To bring me closer up the slope,

To a place of safety, a place of rest,

His way is better, His truth is best,

Another altar in my journey of healing,

The enemy will no more be stealing,

The new peace I carry within my heart,

With an awesome God I made a new start,

Thank-you Papa for Your Love for me,

You are the one who sets me free.

4:00 a.m. August 16,1998

Pump up the volume, warfare is here,

As closer and closer Jesus draws near,

War against poverty, sickness and sin,

Shout down the walls, see His Glory shine in,

Break down the barriers dividing His Bride

He's called us to Victory, He's called us to ride,

He's Commander and Chief of the Heavenly Host,

Exalt His name from coast to coast,

He's the King of Kings and Lord of Lords,

He's called us to worship in one accord,

Across the land let His praises ring,

Til the whole world knows that Jesus is King,

Shout His name from the east to the west,

Come home to Your Father, enter His rest.

7:00 p.m. August 20,1998

The Son of Righteousness is rising with healing in His wings,

The Son of Righteousness is rising with healing in His wings,

He's come to set His people free,

He's come to give us liberty,

The Son of Righteousness is rising with healing in His wings.

The Son of Righteousness is rising with healing in His wings,

The Son of Righteousness is rising with healing in His wings,

He's the King of Kings and Lord of Lords,

We worship Him in one accord,

The Son of Righteousness is rising with healing in His wings.

The Son of Righteousness is rising with healing in His wings,

The Son of Righteousness is rising with healing in His wings,

Most High God You are the One,

Father let Your Kingdom come,

The Son of Righteousness is rising with healing in His wings.

1:40 a.m. November 13,1998

One mind, one body, one spirit, one cup,

Oh, Precious Lord Jesus lift us up,

Up where we can see Your face,

To boldly enter the throne of Grace,

Grace to conquer and unify,

The Bride of Christ, to soar, to fly,

On wings as eagles with eyes to see,

With ears to hear the call to be free,

Free to worship, free to dance,

Free to grow in Holy romance,

The call from the Bridegroom to His Bride,

Come ride with me-unified.

1:10 p.m. August 28,1998

Thank-you God for Your water,

Thank-you for Your rain,

Thank-you that Your love for me,

Cuts right through my pain,

You comfort me in Your arms of love,

You are the one I truly love,

Whatever I'm feeling I can share with You,

You love me no matter what I do,

Whatever I go through You are always here,

Thank-you Papa for staying so near,

You are the one I truly desire,

Cleanse me, cleanse me with Your fire,

Burn away all that is not from You,

So I can shine in the image of You.

FEBRUARY 1999

The Bridegroom is calling,

The Bridegroom is calling,

The Bridegroom is calling,

He's calling His Bride,

Let Him redeem you,

Let Him restore you,

With Him He's called you to ride,

Let Him come and walk by your side.

2 a.m. May 17,1999

satan cannot stand against God's Holy Love,

Showering down from His Throne room above,

In God's Holy Presence satan must flee,

As God's chosen one's worship on bended knee,

In the Glory of God the evil one cowers,

As blessings pour down, showers and showers,

Blessings of mercy, forgiveness and grace,

Urging us on in the great race,

The race to the Cross where His river of Love,

Flows over His children sent from above,

The Cross is the door, the Cross is the key,

Where Victory is won and captives are freed.

1 p.m. May 17,1999

You are the Almighty God above,

The King of Glory, the Lord of Love,

You are mighty, You are Holy,

Yet You chose to come to the lowly,

The wounded, the outcast, the lonely and lost,

For these You paid the highest cost,

In order for You to set them free,

You chose to die upon a tree,

A circle of thorns was Your crown,

Oh, Most High God we bow down,

To worship and adore You exalting You alone,

Let the one who is without sin,

Be the one to cast the stone,

Yet You invite us to come blameless,

Before Your Throne of Grace,

You give us hope, You give us strength,

In which to run the race,

The freedom race to the Cross,

Where loss is gain and gain is loss,

Where Victory is assured

Written in Your ageless Word,

Your words of truth, Your words of love,

Sent with fire from above, fire from the Glory room,

To help us grow, to help us bloom,

Into the army You called us to be,

Marching forth in Victory.
